Leaking Taps

A leaking tap is the most common plumbing call we get. Worn washer, failed cartridge or deteriorated O-rings. We carry common parts and fix most leaking taps on the first visit. For older tapware in Inner West terrace houses, we carry a wide range of parts and know these older properties well.

Running or Leaking Toilets

Toilet that doesn’t stop refilling, runs into the bowl continuously, or leaks at the base: we replace inlet valves, flush valve seals and cistern-to-pan seals, usually same visit. For a blocked toilet see our blocked toilets page.

Low Water Pressure

Common causes in older Inner West homes:

Corroded galvanised pipes: homes built before the 1960s often still have original galvanised steel pipes. As they corrode internally, pressure drops. Replacement is the only real fix.
A failing pressure reduction valve: wears out and can restrict flow rather than regulate it.
Scale buildup in aerators or showerheads: if pressure is low at one or two points but fine elsewhere.
